15 YEAR OLD GAUFF BEATS VENUS WILLIAMS
What a moment at Wimbledon! 15-year-old American Cori Gauff produced a mind-blowing display to beat hero Venus Williams with minimums fuss in front of a packed court 1.
It was Gauff’ first-ever grand-slam match after she became the youngest player to qualify for the main draw. She showed the extraordinary poise and composure beating Williams in straight sets in the first round of Wimbledon.
Although Williams best days on court are behind her, it was fitting that she played a part in the unearthing of tennis’ new star. Williams won two Wimbledon titles before Gauff was born.

Coco Gauff just stepped onto Court 1 against Venus Williams, in her first ever slam match, and hit 10 winners, 2 unforced errors in a set. That seems ok?
