{"id":525104,"date":"2024-05-02T13:22:31","date_gmt":"2024-05-02T11:22:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/betcentral.onpressidium.com\/?p=525104"},"modified":"2024-05-02T13:22:33","modified_gmt":"2024-05-02T11:22:33","slug":"neweys-exit-confirmed-by-red-bull-end-of-an-era","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machibet777-affiliate.com\/formula-1\/neweys-exit-confirmed-by-red-bull-end-of-an-era\/","title":{"rendered":"Newey&#8217;s Exit Confirmed By Red Bull, End Of An Era?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Red Bull confirmed via a statement on Tuesday that the team\u2019s chief technical officer, Adrian Newey, is set to leave the team in the first quarter of 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sensational news comes after the\u00a0<em>BBC<\/em>\u00a0and Germany\u2019s<em>\u00a0Auto Motor und Sport<\/em>\u00a0reported last week that highly-placed sources within the team said Newey informed Red Bull he wanted to leave.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Newey was reportedly unhappy with recent allegations of inappropriate&nbsp;behaviour&nbsp;by team boss Christian Horner towards a Red Bull employee.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Horner was cleared of all charges in February, however, the Austrian company\u2019s internal investigation has caused controversy, and Formula 1 figures, including Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff,\u00a0criticised\u00a0the investigation\u2019s lack of transparency.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div   id="7rtdq1biye"    class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div   id="7rtdq1biye"    class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-black-color has-text-color has-background no-border-radius wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bet.machibet777-affiliate.com\/sports\/motor-racing\/\" style=\"background-color:#f2a12a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bet Now: Formula 1<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Race<\/em>\u00a0reported that Newey was close to walking away from Red Bull in 2023 and was then persuaded to sign a 12-month contract. The 65-year-old has now felt time has run out with the team he spent nearly two decades with.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Newey said: \u2018\u2018For almost two decades it has been my great&nbsp;honour&nbsp;to have played a key role in Red Bull Racing\u2019s progress from upstart newcomer to multiple title-winning Team. However, I feel now is an opportune moment to hand that baton over to others and to seek new challenges for myself.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most successful <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/machibet777-affiliate.com\/formula-1\/visa-cash-app-rb-replaces-alphatauri-f1-team-name-for-2024\/\">F1<\/a><\/strong> car designer yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Briton has been with the energy drink team for 18 years after leaving McLaren in 2006. Horner was instrumental in signing the designer and the two oversaw the team achieve seven F1 Drivers\u2019 and six Constructors\u2019 Championship titles.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the new ground effects regulations came into effect in 2022, Newey and his team were ahead of the pack with the dominant RB18. Verstappen won 15 out of 22 races and it started the second dominant era for the team.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before Red Bull, Newey designed championship-winning cars for Williams and McLaren.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"green\">What&#8217;s Next For Newey?<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Red Bull announced Newey would be stepping back from his F1 design work and focus on completing the RB17 hypercar. Aside from designing F1 cars the Briton also designs yachts and high-performance cars.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He penned the Valkyrie, a hybrid sports car dreamed up by Aston Martin Lagonda and Red Bull Racing Advanced Technologies.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This season Newey will only attend specific F1 races, including this weekend\u2019s Miami Grand Prix.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Newey\u2019s longtime friend and manager Eddie Jordan assisted in getting the designer out of his contract. It means that Newey will be available to Red Bull\u2019s rivals when the sport\u2019s next engine and chassis regulations come into effect in 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren, and Aston Martin have all been linked with Newey. A move to Ferrari to join up with seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton would be a seismic moment in the sport and one that many followers of the sport would want to see
