Daily Spread Betting Round-up
There was a jam-packed sporting schedule at the weekend and we have combed through the major events to find where our canny spread betting punters got one over our traders.
England got their Women’s World Cup campaign off to a flying start on Friday morning with a dominant 10-wicket win over South Africa at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
After winning the toss and opting to field, England bowled South Africa out for just 69. Left-arm spinner Linsey Smith starred with figures of 3-7, taking key wickets including Laura Wolvaardt, Tazmin Brits, and Marizanne Kapp.
In reply, Amy Jones (40*) and Tammy Beaumont (21*) made light work of the chase, reaching the target in just 14.1 overs without losing a wicket.
Before the match, the spread for South Africa’s total was set at 252-262. With the Proteas managing only 69 runs, a sell at 252 returned punters 183x their stake.
Bournemouth kicked off the weekend’s football with a thrilling 3-1 comeback win over Fulham on Friday night.
Fulham looked on course for victory after Ryan Sessegnon gave the visitors the lead early in the second half. But the momentum shifted dramatically late on, with Bournemouth netting three times to seal all three points.
In-form forward Antoine Semenyo was the hero once again, scoring twice in the 78th and 96th minutes — his fifth and sixth goals of the season — to complete the turnaround.
Semenyo's impact was especially felt in the Super Mega Minutes (SMM) market, where a player's second goal minute is doubled and third trebled. With goals in the 78th and 90+6th minutes, his SMM tally landed at a huge 258 (78 + 180).
With a pre-match spread of 20–24, a buy on Semenyo’s SMM returned 234x the stake.
In a pulsating Premiership clash at Kingsholm, Northampton Saints surged to an early lead with four tries before the break, only to be pushed to the brink by a ferocious Gloucester fightback.
Trailing by 31 points, Gloucester responded with five second-half tries, including a brace from Cam Jordan, to edge ahead 35–34 with under 10 minutes to play. But the game turned once more when Ross Byrne was yellow-carded for a deliberate knock-on. From the resulting penalty, Anthony Belleau held his nerve to slot over the decisive points and seal a dramatic 37–35 victory for the Saints.
In the First Tryscorer Shirt x Last Tryscorer Shirt market, Tom Pearson (No. 7) opened the scoring and Afolabi Fasogbon (No. 3) had the final say, producing a market make-up of just 21. With the pre-match spread set at 123–138, a sell delivered a 122x return for punters.
