Europe’s biggest club competition returns this week with plenty of enticing matches to look forward to. With that, brings the joy of finding those valuable winners in the hope of building a winning bet slip. Here, we’ll be looking at Tuesday’s Uefa Champions League. We’ve got 3 Matches, 3 Tips and 3 Value Bets.
21:00 – Rennes vs FC Krasnodar
France and Russia put their alliance aside on Tuesday night as Rennes host FC Krasnodar in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League. Both sides will be making their debuts in the competition and will look to make their marker early on in the campaign in the hope of qualifying to the next round. Rennes have started the new season off brightly and are joint-leaders with Paris Saint-Germain in the French Ligue 1. They’re also unbeaten this term with two wins from their opening three matches in the league. FC Krasnodar have had a rocky start and are seventh in their domestic division. Away from home, they’ve managed just one victory from five games.
21:00 – Chelsea v Sevilla
Group E favourites, Chelsea and Sevilla, lock horns this Tuesday with plenty of goals expected at Stamford Bridge. The Blues’ defensive frailties began to show again on the weekend where they squandered a two-goal lead, eventually drawing 3-3 with Southampton. Chelsea have scored 10 goals in their last three league matches, which shows that they have very few problems finding the back of the net.
Sevilla always tend to raise their game in the UEFA competitions, winning the Europa League last season, ousting the likes of Manchester United and Inter Milan. They come off the back of their first defeat in the league on the weekend, but you could argue that they had one eye on this fixture.
21:00 – Borussia Dortmund v Lazio
More goals are on the horizon when Lazio play host to high-flying Borussia Dortmund. The Germans picked up their third win in four matches on the weekend when they beat Hoffenheim 1-0 away from home. BVB also have free-scoring Erling Haaland in their ranks, while they’ve also managed to keep hold of one of Europe’s hottest talents, Jadon Sancho. Lazio’s start to the new season will raise many eyebrows, with the Italian side winning just one of their opening four matches and come off the back of a demoralising 3-0 defeat against Sampdoria. Lazio are also winless at home this campaign as well.
