Tuesday African & Euro WC Qualifiers – 4 Value Bets To Take

There are several clashes worth keeping an eye on in African and European qualifiers alike, but we’ve selected the pick of the bunch as far as potential value bets go.

Tuesday sees Bafana Bafana back in World Cup qualifying action against Ethiopia, while fans and punters will also likely want to keep an eye on England’s match against Hungary too.

There are several clashes worth keeping an eye on in African and European qualifiers alike, but we’ve selected the pick of the bunch as far as potential value bets go.

South Africa v Ethiopia

Bafana Bafana will be back on home soil at FNB Stadium after beating Ethiopia 3-1 away. Furthermore, they will be playing in front of 2,000 vaccinated supporters and have the wind in their sails with Hugo Broos off to a fine start as head coach.

With South Africa paying above even money to win by two or more goals, now is the perfect time to bet on a home win if ever there was one.

Zimbabwe v Ghana

In the other Group G fixture, Zimbabwe will host Ghana as the Warriors look to rebound from back-to-back defeats to Ethiopia and the Black Stars. Ghana are currently paying 0.66 in order to pick up an away win, which represents good value against an out-of-sorts outfit.

England v Hungary

Moving to European qualifiers, England pulled off an impressive 5-0 away win over Andorra, so the Three Lions will head into the match against Hungary at Wembley Stadium optimistic of repeating their 4-0 away win in the reverse fixture last month.

England have won six out of seven World Cup qualifiers with a goal difference of 21, so it is worth betting on them to win big against Hungary, who since their last defeat to Gareth Southgate’s men have lost twice to Albania and scraped past Andorra.

Sweden v Greece

Sweden saw goals at both ends in five matches consecutively before a 3-0 win over Kosovo put paid to that. They will now once again be up against opponents who can match them. Tuesday’s hosts at the Friends Arena in Stockholm will be looking to avenge the 2-1 defeat they suffered to Greece last month.

Greece, for their part, saw goals at both ends in eight matches in a row themselves before ending that streak with a 2-0 win over Georgia. The match against Sweden will be a tightly-fought affair and BTTS is a likely outcome once again.
