Salah And Pogba Create Premier League History

What a round of fixtures in the opening weekend of the Premier League. Superstars Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Paul Pogba (Manchester United) made history in their respective fixtures against Norwich City and Leeds United

Mohamed Salah chalked up y, his goal against Norwich meant that he has now scored in five consecutive opening day Premier League matches, Salah is the first player to do that.

In their 3-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday, not only did Salah set a Premier League record, but he also provided assists for Diogo Jota and Roberto Fermino before scoring the third goal. The Egyptian captain has passed the previous record of Teddy Sheringham, the former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur forward scored four Matchweek 1 goals.

If Salah continues with his incredible opening day form next season to break the record held by Shearer, Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney. Those three Premier League legends each scored eight goals on opening weekends, and could soon also be joined on that tally by . The  striker’s only goal of the match against  earned him his seventh opening weekend goal in 10 seasons.
