It was yet another profitable weekend as eight of the nine predictions arrived with Hellas Verona’s tie with Cagliari being postponed due to the tragic coronavirus spreading across Italy. Leicester City’s failure to score at home against Manchester City was the only wager to let us down, but this weekend, we look to come away from the one-game curse and achieve yet another 10/10. Let’s get straight into it!There are few better places to begin the weekend of football than Pietermaritzburg’s Harry Gwala Stadium on a Friday night. Maritzburg United have turned their home ground in a fortress and would fancy themselves against the toughest of sides in front of their own backyard. Stellenbosch have found a bit of form of late, but this round, the stage might be too big for them.

Golden Arrows meet at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Saturday with both sides coming into the game level on 30 points. On home soil, Arrows have been superb this campaign, losing just twice, with only one of those defeats coming in Claremont, with the other coming at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. Highlands Park have one of the worst away records in the Absa Premiership, winning in just one of their 11 trips on the road.

Not for the first time this season, Liverpool were given a scare at Anfield and had to work hard for their victory last time out against West Ham, winning 3-2. Yet again, the Reds were eventual winners on the day, claiming their 18th successive league win, equalling Manchester City’s record. Watford lost their third game in four outings last weekend, rolling over against Manchester United in a 3-0 defeat. A win here would surpass that famous record held by the current Premier League champions, so it seems like the Reds could dethrone City of more than just the title.Suggested BET:

Cup finals are always expected to be cagey affairs, but Man City have proven it to be otherwise in their domination of England over the past two years. In their last domestic final, City hammered Watford 6-0 in last season’s FA Cup. Having dominated England in recent years, Pep Guardiola’s side can treat Wembley Stadium as their second home ground. In their two previous meetings with Villa this season, City won 3-0 and 6-1.Suggested BET:
Granada have the chance to jump up by a couple of places in the La Liga table when they host Celta Vigo this weekend. The hosts have been excellent on home soil in recent weeks, winning four of their last five ties, including the last three in a row. Celta Vigo are winless in their last five away matches and have won just once on the road all season.

Dortmund will be hoping to make the most of their superb run of form and close the gap between themselves and the top two in the German Bundesliga. Dortmund are the only team in the division to remain unbeaten on home soil, winning eight of their 11 games. Freiburg have won just one of their last five fixtures, losing three times in that run.Suggested BET:
After a couple of disappointing results in the Belgian division, Royal Antwerp will fancy themselves against league minnows, KV Oostende. Antwerp are unbeaten on home soil this campaign, claiming nine victories in 13 encounters. Oostende have the worst away form in the league, earning just four points from 13 games. In their last eight fixtures in total, Oostende have won just once.

Home form has been a key factor for Anorthosis in the Cyprus Division, as they lie on top of the table, winning 13 of their 21 matches played. Strangely, nine of those victories have come on their turf as they remain one of two sides yet to lose a home game in the league. AEK Larnaca have been far from convincing thus far, and away from home, they’ve won just three of their 10 matchups.

Istanbul Basaksehir moved to the top of the Turkish league table last weekend and will hope to keep their place at the summit for at least another week. The hosts are unbeaten in four league games, winning three times in that period. Gaziantep are winless in their last three away ties and have won just three of their 11 encounters on the road in total.

Two of the biggest clubs in Africa meet in the Cairo derby this coming Monday as the Egyptian Premier League comes down to its business end. Al Ahly have been perfect this season, boasting a 100% record in the league, winning all 15 of their games played. Zamalek, in their 15 encounters, have won just nine times, which is proving to be costly in their title pursuit with Patrice Carteron’s side 14 points off Al Ahly. This is arguably the biggest derby in African football and looking at Al Ahly’s form, it’s extremely difficult to back against them.
