Nigeria did not start out as favourites to win the Africa Cup of Nations, but they have quickly become one of the neutrals’ favourite teams to watch after beating Egypt 1-0 and Sudan 3-1 in their opening games.
They will round off their group stage campaign today with a clash against Guinea-Bissau, while Egypt will look to secure a last 16 spot in their game against Sudan.
Our suggested bets can be placed separately or together in a single bet with a greater potential return on investment.
Guinea-Bissau v Nigeria
Nigeria are paying 1.68 to win, which represents superb value given that they have won both of their matches so far at the tournament, dominating them from start to finish.
If you are feeling more adventurous, Augustine Eguavoen’s Super Eagles are paying above even money to cover the -1 handicap, as they did against Sudan, who so far have proven to be at a similar level to Guinea-Bissau.
Kelechi Iheanacho and co. have been impressive for Nigeria at this tournament and they show no signs of letting up.
Egypt v Sudan
Despite the presence of Mohamed Salah in their squad, Egypt’s attack has been blunt so far at the Africa Cup of Nations.
After a 1-0 defeat to Nigeria, they nevertheless bounced back with a 1-0 victory over Guinea-Bissau in their most recent game. Salah was predictably the goalscorer.
Against Sudan, a team roughly as strong as their most recent opponents, the Pharaohs are likely to pick up another low-scoring win.
