Possible Deadline Day Transfer Deals

The English Premier League deadline day is on Friday 1 September, with clubs expected to make more signatures to strengthen their squad for the ongoing 23/24 season. Over the years, the last day has always been full of drama as some of the unexpected and shocking transfer deals take place. Let’s look at some possible Deadline Day transfer deals.

Marc Cucurella

Marc Cucurella hasn’t found it easy to adapt to the Chelsea squad since his £52 million signing switch from Brighton at the start of last season The 25-year-old lanky left-back, who sometimes specializes in the full-back role arrived at the London-based club in the bad season in which the club was going through a bad patch. Now with the new season up and running, the Spaniard has yet to taste a single minute in the three league games so far.

He has been heavily linked with the loan move to the arch-rivals Manchester United who are prepared to pay £7 million a year for his services. The talks have begun with the player having the final voice to agree to the deal.

Eric Dier

In the last five years, Eric Dier has been a pillar of the Tottenham Hotspurs midfield. But surprisingly he has been linked with the move away from a club he has represented exceptionally well for nearly a decade. There is no doubt the classic performances produced by Yves Bissouma this season have forced Dier to sit on the bench.

The 29-year-old English versatile player has been tipped to reunite with Harry Kane at Bayern Munich. Despite the German champion being on his radar shockingly Fulham has entered into a race to secure his signature.

Joao Felix

Joao Felix is one of the most entertaining footballers due to his skills, speed, and vision. Despite being so highly rated, which earned him a mega deal move to Atletico Madrid he has failed to reach his potential. With La Liga looking like not his environment, Chelsea tasted his last season on a loan deal which was not extended this season. His spell in English was not impressive nor not bad either. The shining light is that it was enough to draw other clubs’ interest in him.

With Manchester United so desperate to fill up the space left by the injured Mason Mount, the club has launched a last-minute chase on Felix. Joining them in a race for the sensational wonderful player is Liverpool looking to boost their midfield. If either one of the two clubs manages to sign Felix, It would be interesting to see if he would finally flourish and get some game time.

Wilfred Ndidi

The time Leicester City suffered relegation from the English top-flight football, several players were going to attract the team’s signatures. James Maddison is one of them as he has started life at Tottenham Hotspurs with a bang. Now, with the summer window fast approaching the deadline day, Wilfred Ndidi looks like on his way out of the club too.

The 26-year-old tough-tackling midfield is believed to be on the wanted list by Liverpool and Nottingham Forest. Quite surprising for Liverpool as they signed Wataru Endo of Japan this season. But Ndidi might be favourable because he understands the culture of the English League. It is one of those transfers that come unexpectedly.

Harry Maguire

Nothing is going in Harry Maguire’s favour now at Manchester United. Despite being signed with a hefty fee from Leicester City, Maguire has fallen out of the starting eleven at Old Trafford and looks certain to revive his career somewhere. The Englishman was stripped of his captaincy to make things worse. He has stated before that he is willing to fight for his place in the team but with no minutes this season that is a huge sign that he is a surplus.

West Ham is the only club reportedly interested in his services. The asking few is £30 million and might be a good steal for David Moyes’s troops.
