Bet Central Predictions Soccer Tips

Last weekend proved to be a difficult weekend for punters, little did we know part of the reason behind it was down to the fact that some of Europe’s biggest clubs were conspiring against the greatest football bodies to kick-start the European Super League. That idea seems to be watered down after the 12th man intervened, so hopefully we can get back to winning ways as football soon becomes the sport we all know it to be.

We cater for everybody here at BET Central, so let’s see what’s cooking on the menu this week:

Premier League

Liverpool vs Newcastle (Saturday)

After being knocked out of the UEFA Champions League, Liverpool can now solely focus on the Premier League and their fight for top four, especially after leaving the European Super League. The defending champions are now in sixth spot, which would only see them qualify for the UEFA Europa League as it stands. Newcastle United are unbeaten in three league matches, scoring seven times in that run. Liverpool haven’t tasted defeat in four domestic games, but their defensive frailties have been well-documented this term.

West Ham v Chelsea (Saturday)

Serie A

Atalanta v Juventus (Sunday)

Two of Italy’s lowest ranked teams in the top flight go head-to-head this weekend as 19th-placed Parma host Crotone, who are bottom of the table. Parma are on a four-game winless run, while their counterparts have suffered five defeats in a row. Away from home, Crotone are the only team in the division yet to win a single match on the road.

Inter Milan v Hellas Verona (Sunday)

Inter Milan seem to be putting their foot on the brakes as they look to clinch their first league title since 2010. Antonio Conte’s side have now drawn back-to-back matches in the Italian Serie A, but fortunately, some of Inter’s closest rivals haven’t been able to utilize their advantage in that time. Hellas Verona have lost six of their last seven encounters in the Serie A, including the last three in succession. Inter Milan have won 13 of their 15 home games, so it would take something strange for the hosts not to win this tie.

Bundesliga

Union Berlin v Werder Bremen (Saturday)

Union Berlin will be looking to swiftly return to winning ways after losing 2-0 to Dortmund in midweek. Prior to that result, the hosts were unbeaten in three league matches. Werder Bremen have now lost six consecutive games in the German Bundesliga and are still in danger of being relegated this season. Union Berlin have lost just once at home this entire campaign and will make it tough for the visitors in this tie.

Wolfsburg v Dortmund (Saturday)

In what should be one of the most entertaining matchups this weekend, Wolfsburg and Dortmund lock horns on Saturday in the German Bundesliga. The home side returned to winning ways in midweek, where they beat Stuttgart 3-1 away from their turf. Dortmund also romped to victory in midweek, claiming their third successive victory in the league. This game has goals written all over it.

La Liga

Real Madrid v Real Betis (Saturday)

Real Madrid moved to the top of the Spanish La Liga standings at the time of writing when they recorded a resounding 3-0 victory away at Cadiz. Los Blancos are now undefeated in 12 league matches, winning nine times in that run. Real Betis drew their fourth successive match in the league in midweek as they were held to a goalless draw at home to Athletic Bilbao. There really should be only one winner in this contest.

Sevilla v Granada (Sunday)

Sevilla have once again proven that they’re capable of running the same race as Spain’s big three as they’re kept within touching distance of the top, being three points behind Real Madrid. Sevilla are unbeaten in six La Liga outings, winning five times in that spell. Granada have been inconsistent this season and have lost as many games as some sides fighting in the relegation zone. You never know what to expect from Granada, but away to Sevilla, I suspect they have very little chance in this fixture.

Ligue 1

Rennes v Dijon (Sunday)

Rennes will have the UEFA Europa League spots in their sights when they look to build on their winning momentum against Dijon. Rennes are unbeaten in their last four matches, winning four times in that period. Dijon have lost seven away games in a row and remain rooted to the foot of the French Ligue 1 table.

Angers v Monaco (Sunday)

The past few weeks have been rough for Angers in the French Ligue 1 as the hosts suffered their second consecutive 3-0 defeat last weekend. They’re goal shy and have defensive frailties, which will be hard to hide when they face an in-form Monaco side. The visitors have won four matches in a row, with scorelines of 4-0, 4-0, 3-0 and 3-0. Monaco have also kept five successive clean sheets in a row in the league.
