It’s that time of the week again when we run through a selection of the most exciting matches taking place this weekend and offer our best bets and value picks.

Newcastle v Fulham (Sunday)

Following back-to-back draws in the Premier League against Leeds United and Arsenal, Newcastle will seek to get back to winning ways when they host Fulham on Sunday as they look to take their unbeaten run in the league to 14 games.

Chelsea v Crystal Palace (Sunday)

Chelsea will be hoping the dismissal of Joao Felix on his debut will not affect the camp as they aim to get their season back on track following a dismal first half of the campaign. Graham Potter’s side will welcome Crystal Palace to Stamford Bridge on Sunday – a side they’ve registered 11 straight wins over.

Real Sociedad v Athletic Bilbao (Saturday)

Real Sociedad entertain Athletic Bilbao at the Reale Arena in La Liga action on Saturday. The Basque side have won their last six competitive matches and will look to continue their good form against a Bilbao side who are currently on a five-game winless run on the road.

Almeria v Atletico Madrid (Sunday)

Following a 1-0 home defeat against Barcelona, Atletico Madrid will seek to get back to winning ways when they travel to face Almeria in La Liga on Sunday. The Andalusian side are winless since returning from the World Cup break, drawing 1-1 away at Cadiz, before losing 2-0 at home to Real Sociedad.

Napoli v Juventus (Friday)

Table-toppers Napoli host third-placed Juventus at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in an exciting Serie A clash on Friday. A win for the Azzurri will hand them a 10-point lead over Massimiliano Allegri’s side as they go in search of their first league title in 24 years.

Inter Milan v Verona (Saturday)

Inter Milan host 18th-placed Verona on Saturday looking for their fifth straight win at the Giuseppe Meazza. The visitors are yet to win on the road this term with five defeats and three draws from eight games.

Rio Ave v Pacos Ferreira (Saturday)

Rio Ave will be looking to continue their impressive home form when they face bottom side Pacos Ferreira at the Estadio do Rio Ave Futebol Clube in the Portuguese Primeira Liga on Saturday. Rio Ave are unbeaten in four games on their turf, with three wins and a draw. Pacos Ferreira meanwhile remains the only side in the league yet to register a win, with 12 defeats and three draws from 15 games played.

Benfica v Sporting Lisbon (Sunday)

Primeira Liga-leading Benfica will be looking to maintain their perfect record at home when they host Sporting Lisbon on Sunday. The Green and Whites have suffered four defeats from eight on the road this term and were beaten 2-0 in their last meeting with Benfica at the Jose Alvalade Stadium.

Groningen v Feyenoord (Sunday)

Feyenoord will be looking to maintain their place at the summit of the Eredivisie table when they visit 15th-placed Groningen on Sunday. The hosts are on a three-match losing streak which doesn’t bode well for their chances against the leaders of the Dutch top flight.

Fortuna Sittard v PSV Eindhoven (Sunday)

After dumping Sparta Rotterdam out of the KNVB Cup, PSV Eindhoven will now switch their focus to Eredivisie action where they seek to come away with all three points when they visit Fortuna Sittard on Sunday. Having won 2-1 away at Ajax in their last outing and having brushed aside the hosts 5-0 in their last meeting, the Dutch giants, managed by Ruud van Nistelrooy, will be confident of victory.
