Liverpool v Wolves (Saturday)
Liverpool welcomes Wolves to Anfield on Saturday for their FA Cup third-round clash, with Jurgen Klopp’s side looking to get back to winning ways following a 3-1 defeat at Brentford last time out. Having won each of the last seven meetings against their opponents, the Reds will be confident of victory.
Man City v Chelsea (Sunday)
Having just faced each other in the Premier League on Thursday, Manchester City and Chelsea will square off again, this time at the Etihad Stadium in the FA Cup third round. Pep Guardiola’s men dumped the west Londoners out of the EFL Cup via a 2-0 scoreline just before the World Cup, and both Premier League meetings between the two sides last season ended in 1-0 victories for the Sky Blues.
Valencia v Cadiz (Friday)
Gennaro Gattuso’s side looks to turn their woes around when they host 19th-placed Cadiz in La Liga action this Friday. Los Che have been held to goalless draws by Sergio Gonzalez’s side in their last two meetings, while the points have been shared in the last two fixtures between them at the Mestalla Stadium.
Sevilla v Getafe (Sunday)
Sevilla looks to end a six-game winless run in La Liga as they continue their battle to get out of the bottom three at the expense of an under-performing Getafe outfit whom they’ve recorded six straight wins against.
Monza v Inter Milan (Saturday)
Inter Milan will look to maintain their impressive form in the Serie A this weekend when they take on Monza at the U-Power Stadium. The Nerazzurri are riding a three-game winning streak and should make light work of the newly-promoted side.
Sampdoria v Napoli (Sunday)
Following their 1-0 defeat at home against Inter Milan on Wednesday, Napoli will be looking to return to winning ways when they travel to 18th-placed Sampdoria on Sunday. The Azzurri had won 11 in a row before the World Cup break.
Benfica v Portimonense (Friday)
Primeira Liga-leading Benfica will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after suffering a 3-0 loss against Sporting Braga last Friday. The Lisbon-based side, who have won all seven of their home games this term, host a Portimonense side who have lost four of their last five matches.
Moritimo v Sporting (Sunday)
Sporting will be looking to continue their impressive form when they face Maritimo at the Estadio dos Barreiros in the Portuguese Primeira Liga on Sunday. Sporting have won their last seven matches, while Maritimo are winless in their last six, with four defeats.
Twente v Emmen (Friday)
Twente returns to league action for the first time since the World Cup as they welcome Emmen to the De Grolsch Veste on Friday. Twente remains unbeaten at home in the Eredivisie this season with six wins from seven games. Emmen, on the other hand, have lost six of their seven away matches in the Dutch top flight.
AZ Alkmaar v Vitesse (Saturday)
AZ Alkmaar will look to pick up where they left off on their return to league action against Vitesse this weekend. The Cheese Farmers claimed an impressive 1-0 win away at PSV before the break for the World Cup, while Vitesse failed to win for their third straight game, playing to a 2-2 draw against Go Ahead Eagles.
