The start of a new week brings new opportunities in the Tokyo Olympics, with our platform offering superb value.
The start of the sevens rugby tournament is welcome for South Africans after the Springboks’ loss to the British & Irish Lions on Saturday. The Blitzboks are undoubtedly one of the teams to watch at the Olympics, whether as a fan or a neutral punter.
Men’s Rugby: South Africa v Ireland
The early bird will have the opportunity to catch the worm as the Blitzboks kick off their campaign against Ireland at 4AM SAST.
Ireland have a formidable 15-man unit, but in the Sevens game, they are far from being the finished article. This will be their first Olympic appearance and the Blitzboks should have little trouble seeing them off.
Men’s Rugby: Pool C Winner Outright
Apart from Ireland, the Blitzboks will have to finish ahead of the USA and Kenya in order to win Pool C. Although this is a competitive group, it is unlikely that any of South Africa’s opponents will have the legs to compete for top spot. Now is the best time to back the Blitzboks to finish top of the pile.
Women’s 100m Butterfly
Zhang Yufei has been in sensational form in the 100m and 200m butterfly alike and her time in the 100m heats was two tenths of a second off the 55.62 swim which saw her head into the Games ranked number one. She followed her 100m heat performance up with a semi-final swim of 55.89.
Yufei looks like a likely double gold medal winner and there is value in backing her in the 100m butterfly final at 3:30AM.
