Kenilworth Horse Racing Betting Tips – 3 June 2020
Racing was given the all-clear from the South African government last Thursday following the decision to reduce the status of the Covid-19 lockdown from Level 4 to Level 3, which allows for the opening of non-contact sports.
There’s a full programme for horseracing fans to look forward to over the next few weeks. The meeting on Tuesday 2 June will be at the Vaal on the Highveld, followed by Kenilworth in Cape Town on Wednesday, Vaal again on Thursday and Friday at Fairview in Port Elizabeth.
Today, we have some quick picks to get you started
Competitive. Heaven’s Embrace is both versatile and consistent, and an honest account can be expected of her. She does, however, concede chunks of weight to all and could be found wanting late on under 63kg. The Bass-Robinson yard has a strong hand and stablemates Cruise Along and Gimme Gimme Gimme should be in the mix at the top as well. Sweet Karma is a useful third string to the stable’s bow under just 50kg. Caribbean Sunset has value because of her solid credentials too.
3 – Cruise Along
4 – Gimme Gimme Gimme
5 – Caribbean Sunset
1 – Heaven’s Embrace
The fillies could hold the cards in the ‘lucky last’ as rejuvenated Fours a Crowd and impressive last-start winner Dark Mistress appear most likely to fight out the finish. The former has done little wrong since joining her current yard and beat a stronger field (albeit females) last time out. A resultant four-point penalty and switch to taking on male rivals pose tougher questions but could well be answered by the shrewd booking of a 4kg claimer. Dark Mistress seemingly relished the return to sprints with blinkers fitted last time (when well backed) and on that evidence should pose a threat.
8 – Fours A Crowd
7 – Dark Mistress
5 – Jean’s Man
11 – Moon Rock
