Sean Parker is joined by Formula 1 social media content creator Mary-Anne Wakefield, better known as Lallie’s Life to discuss the winter testing in Bahrain.
The duo break down who the winners and losers were after three days and 21 000km of testing ahead of the 2023 season opener at the Sakhir circuit. Red Bull and Aston Martin impressed the most with blistering runs for two-time world champions Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso. Mercedes and McLaren have their work cut out ahead of Sunday’s race after disappointing with the former hoping to reduce the gap between Red Bull and Ferrari after only winning one race in 2022.
McLaren says they know what’s wrong with the MCL60 and their first upgrade of the season will need to eradicate several shortcomings of the car. Lando Norris admitted the car was difficult to drive in Bahrain. And lastly, Parker and Wakefield discuss whether the number of testing days should be reduced.
