Host and motorsport journalist review the 2022 Canadian Grand Prix
Max Verstappen won his fifth win in the last six races at the 2022 Canadian Grand Prix. He easily held on after a late attack from Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz (second). Also, Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton grabbed his second podium (third) of the season.
With six wins in nine races, Verstappen’s is slowly becoming a dominant force much like Hamilton’s 2015 year or Sebastian Vettel’s 2011 season. He drove in Canada with maturity and skille from start to finish.
The Dutchman is now 46 points ahead of team-mate Sergio Perez, he leads the Drivers’ standings by the exact margin he trailed Charles Leclerc after the first three rounds, emphasising just how good he’s been.
