West Indies v Australia Fifth T20I: 3 Bets to Take

West Indies v Australia Fifth T20I: 3 Bets to Take – We’ve created three bets to take for the final T20I with both teams looking to end the series on a high.

West Indies Australia Betting

Australia come into this match on a high after beating the West Indies by four runs in the previous T20I. The fourth match of the series was thoroughly entertaining from start to finish. We’ve created three bets to take for the final T20I with both teams looking to end the series on a high.

West Indies to Win

The West Indies will feel they should have won the previous match after the foundation laid by Lendl Simmons and Evin Lewis. Losing wickets in crucial moments cost Nicholas Pooran’s team the match. The fact that they lost Fabian Allen with the last ball of the penultimate over proved critical as it made Andre Russell opt not to take the runs on offer in the final over.

Despite great knocks from Aaron Finch and Mitchell Marsh, the Australian middle-order still struggled to deal with the spin of Hayden Walsh Jr. With both teams looking to end the series on a high, I’m expecting the West Indies to win this one.

Hayden Walsh Jr

In the previous T20I, I backed Hayden Walsh Jr to be the West Indies’ top bowler and he did not disappoint as he took 3 wickets for 27 runs off his four overs, helping the West Indies limit Australia to 189/6 after the visitors looked set for a score of above 200. The most wickets for a bowler who has played five matches in a T20I series is 13 by Ish Sodhi against Australia earlier this year. Walsh Jr is currently on 11 wickets and will be hoping to break this record. The Australian middle order’s struggles against the leg-spinner continued in the previous match and I’m backing him once again to be the hosts’ top bowler.

Highest Individual Score Over 66.5

With players like Chris Gayle and Aaron Finch returning to some sort of form in this series, there is a huge chance of an individual score of above 66.5. Mitchell Marsh has also been in great form in the series and will be looking for another great performance with the bat after his 75 off 44 balls. In the previous two T20Is, the highest individual score has been above 66.5 and both teams are blessed with talented batsmen who have been playing on surfaces that are good for batting.
