Match 20 of the inaugural SA20 competition will see MI Cape Town take on Pretoria Captial at Newlands on Monday. In their previous matches, MICT beat Paarl Royals by 13 runs while Pretoria Capitals suffered a 6-wicket defeat to Paarl Royals on Sunday. Lwanele Poswayo has a prediction and the best bets for this match.
MI Cape Town
This is a difficult match to predict, considering how good Pretoria Capitals have been and MI Cape Town’s inconsistent form. Rashid Khan’s men got back to winning ways on Saturday after suffering two defeats in a row against Sunrisers Eastern Cape, and I’m backing them to make it back-to-back wins.
There’s definitely value in backing PC at 2.00 but I feel MICT will be eager to get the win at home.
Anrich Nortje
In a tournament that’s been dominated by spinners, Anrich Nortje has been brilliant for the Pretoria Capitals. He’s taken 10 wickets in 6 matches at an economy rate of 6.17. He was disappointing in his previous game where he was wicketless, going at 9 runs per over in his 3.4 overs. I see him bouncing back in this game and causing MI Cape Town’s batters all sorts of problems.
Individual Score
Newlands has been a relatively low-scoring ground in the SA20 so far with Dewald Brevis’ 70* in the first game the highest individual score so far. The ground has been low-scoring for both team and individual scores and I don’t expect that to change anytime soon. Bet on the under here.
