The second game of Tuesday’s SA20 double-header will see Durban’s Super Giants travel to Joburg to take on Faf du Plessis’ Joburg Super Kings. It will be a bottom-of-the-table clash with both sides desperate for a win to keep their semi-final hopes alive. As always, cricket punter Lwanele Poswayo has a prediction plus the best bets for this contest.
Faf Du Plessis
JSK’s skipper Fa Du Plessis has had an ordinary tournament for his high standards, which is why his team has struggled in the tournament so far. He has however shown signs of getting back to his best, with scores of 37, 51 & 27 in his last three innings. Another option is Leus du Plooy who’s had a brilliant campaign so far and has more value at 4.75.
Most Sixes
Durban’s Super Giants boast the likes of Heinrich Klaasen, Quinton de Kock, Kyle Mayers and Wiaan Mulder in their team. They have hit 44 sixes in six matches compared to just 23 by Joburg Super Kings.
Highest Individual Score
Only one match has been played at the Wanderer so far in the SA20, in which 330 runs were scored across two innings. Leus du Plooy top-scored with 75 off 40 balls and I expect to see another high-scoring game with one of the quality batsmen from either side scoring more than 67.5 runs.
