Betting Preview
The 31st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in Delhi. The two teams have faced each other 17 times with MI leading the rivalry by a narrow margin of 9-8. In the previous fixture between these two earlier this season, MI beat SRH by 13 runs in a thrilling contest. Mumbai Indians are heavy favourites for this.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have found themselves in a deep rut. SRH have been a proper mess this season with a public spat between management and David Warner amidst the flurry of losses. They have played seven and lost six of them. Their batting unit is simply not good as it’s dependent on a couple of top-order batters. SRH bowling has been highly dependent on Rashid Khan. Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s bad form is also hurting the team. One of their biggest issues is not being able to strike a balance with their four overseas players.
Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, have brought their campaign back on track with two consecutive wins. After beating RR comprehensively, MI went on to clinch a thrilling last-ball victory over arch-rivals CSK. It was the second highest successful run-chase in IPL history as Mumbai Indians chased down 219 thanks to Kieron Pollard’s incredible 34-ball-87. MI’s bowling took a beating as Jasprit Bumrah had an off day. They might want to bring Adam Milne to strengthen the attack. They will also need to bring Ishan Kishan back, who was one of their top players last season.
Injury and Availability News
Sunrisers Hyderabad have sacked David Warner as captain and also omitted him from the playing XI against RR. Their pacer T Natarajan is out of the tournament due to an injury. Mumbai Indians are likely to bring Ishan Kishan and Adam Milne back in the side.

Pitch and Conditions
Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi has produced some very good batting surfaces. It has given four high-scoring games in IPL 2021 with an average first innings score of 195. The last two games at this venue have seen scores of 218, 219, 220, 165. The pitch is expected to be flat and batting-friendly.
Key Players to Watch Out For
Jonny Bairstow: The English batter has become an undroppable name in IPL with his white ball exploits. Bairstow, who’s one of the most destructive batters in the world has had a fantastic season so far, scoring 248 runs at an average of 41.3 and has struck at 141.7. In the previous fixture against MI, Jonny Bairstow decimated the MI bowlers in the powerplay, smashing 43 off 22. The SRH opener should enjoy the flat Delhi wicket with short boundaries and could prove to be a big headache for the defending champions.
Rashid Khan: The Afghan leggie has been the pillar of SRH’s bowling attack since 2017 and one of the most consistent performers in the league. Rashid Khan has picked 10 wickets in the seven games of IPL 2021 so far at an economy rate of 6.14. Khan has been the kryptonite for MI, he has always made life difficult for MI batters. Rashid has bowled 36 overs against MI, conceding runs at only 5.25 rpo. After going wicketless in the last fixture against them, he’ll be looking to make a mark.
Suryakumar Yadav: After a great domestic season last year followed by an International cap for India, Mumbai Indians would’ve expected big things from Suryakumar Yadav this season, but he has not hit the ground running in this IPL so far. In 7 innings he has managed to score only 173 runs. Despite getting some good starts, he has failed to convert them into big scores, rather uncharacteristically. However, the batting-friendly deck in Delhi against a weakened SRH bowling attack might just be the perfect set-up for Suryakumar Yadav to get himself back in form.
Jasprit Bumrah: Mumbai Indians’ most valuable asset with the ball, Jasprit Bumrah, is coming on the back of his most expensive bowling figures ever in IPL against a ruthless CSK batting lineup. To contain the opponent on a flat deck in Delhi is surely going to be a challenge for all the bowlers but if anyone can provide Mumbai Indians the edge, it has to be Jasprit Bumrah. With SRH middle-order struggling for form at the moment, it might just be the game for Jasprit Bumrah to bounce back with another one of his trademark performances
