IPL 2020: Match 40 – Rajasthan Royals v Sunrisers Hyderabad Preview, Prediction, Probable Playing XI and Value bets.

Betting Preview

Rajasthan Royals face Sunrisers Hyderabad in match number 40 of this Indian Premier League. Both teams are in the bottom half of the points table with RR at the sixth place and SRH at seventh. This is a very crucial game for both teams as we head to the business end of the tournament. A loss for either team might put them on the brink of elimination.

It finally seems that Rajasthan Royals have found their preferred and ideal playing XI. With Robin Uthappa moving to open the batting and Steve Smith and Jos Buttler going down to No. 4 and 5 respectively, the batting is looking a lot more settled. Smith and Buttler have found some rhythm again and are looking dangerous. Meanwhile, RR will want some runs from Ben Stokes at the top and Sanju Samson whose form has just fallen off the cliff after the first two games. The bowling attack led by Jofra Archer has done decently. The two leggies Rahul Tewatia and Shreyas Gopal have tightened the screws as well.

On the other hand, including their last Super Over defeat, Sunrisers Hyderabad have now slumped to three successive losses. They’re in a desperate situation now and will want to turn things around quickly. All three departments have been pretty inconsistent for SRH. The batting seems overdependent on David Warner and Jonny Bairstow and the bowling has struggled a bit in the absence of spearhead Bhuvneshwar Kumar. There have been some promising prospects but again consistency has been the problem.

Injury and Availability News

For SRH, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mitchell Marsh have been ruled out of the tournament. Kane Williamson was struggling with a hamstring injury in the last game and might sit out for this game. Meanwhile, RR don’t have any major injury concerns.

Probable Playing XI

Rajasthan Royals

Robin Uthappa, Ben Stokes, Sanju Samson (wk), Steven Smith (c), Jos Buttler, Riyan Parag, Rahul Tewatia, Jofra Archer, Shreyas Gopal, Ankit Rajpoot, Kartik Tyagi

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Key Players to watch out for

Jos Buttler: After an indifferent start, Buttler is looking a lot more settled and has looked in excellent touch in the last few games. He has constantly got the starts this season. He has scored 262 runs and is leading the run charts for RR. Buttler’s form and contribution might play a big role in RR’s fortunes in the coming games.

Rashid Khan: The Afghan leg-spinner has been the only bowler who has been consistent for SRH this season. Rashid has picked up 11 wickets at an economy of 5.52. His battle with Jos Buttler might be a crucial one and he will once again be the key for SRH.

Jofra Archer: The England fast bowler has been superb for RR so far. He has returned with 13 wickets and is bowling at extreme pace. Archer has had the wood over Warner for some time now and with SRH top-heavy, Archer might be the one to watch out for and his battle with Warner and Bairstow could be the defining moment in this game.
