IPL 2020: Match 22 – Sunrisers Hyderabad v Kings XI Punjab Preview, Prediction, Probable Playing XI and Value bets.
Preview
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) square off in the 22nd match of this IPL. These are two teams in the bottom half of the table and will be looking to turn things around. Both teams haven’t had the best of starts.
Sunrisers Hyderabad started with a couple of losses on the bounce before winning two in a row. And just when they were looking good and moving up, they were defeated by Mumbai Indians. Their batting is coming good and looks in good shape. Jonny Bairstow and David Warner have fired at the top as usual. Now their middle-order is starting to come to the party. The likes of Manish Pandey and Kane Williamson are reliable while the young guns like Priyam Garg, Abhishek Sharma and Abdul Samad have shown promise. The issue for them has been their inconsistency with the ball. Rashid Khan has been very good while T Natarajan has also impressive. Apart from that, no one has really stood up. And the injury to Bhuvneshwar Kumar has made things even worse.
On the other hand, Kings XI Punjab just don’t know how to arrest their slide. They were at the wrong end of a couple of really close games and now, they’ve had some big losses. Their batting revolves around the openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal. But the form of Nicholas Pooran from the last game will give them a confidence boost. Their powerplay bowling has been excellent. The problem has been the death where they’ve leaked a plethora of runs.
Moreover, SRH have a better head to head record as well, winning 10 out of the 14 games between the two sides.
Injury and Availability News
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out of the tournament and Prithvi Raj Yarra is his replacement.

Key Players to watch out for
Rashid Khan: The superstar from Afghanistan has been excellent in the last few games and has looked lethal with the ball. He has picked up five wickets at an economy of 5.20. Moreover, he has an excellent record against KXIP – 11 wickets and has troubled most of the KXIP batsmen in T20 cricket.
Mayank Agarwal: The Karnataka batsmen has been at the top of his game this season. He has scored 272 runs and is striking at 162.87. Agarwal is the one who has taken the responsibility to go big in the powerplay and takes the pressure off KL Rahul.
David Warner: The SRH skipper has had a decent start to this season, scoring 175 runs. Warner has a brilliant record against KXIP and has smashed 819 runs at an average of 54.60. In fact, in his last eight innings against KXIP, his lowest score is 51 and he will look to extend the misery on the KL Rahul-led side.
