England take on Pakistan in the series decider in Manchester tomorrow evening. The series is tied at one apiece after the hosts levelled the series in the previous T20I, winning it by 45 runs. We’ve put together three bets to take for the series decider at Old Trafford.
England to Win
The world’s number one ranked T20I side are now playing at the level we’re used to seeing after losing the first T20I. After a fantastic performance in the previous match, England will be confident of sealing another series win in the shortest format of the game. Both teams will be looking to test themselves against an opponent they may very well face deep in the T20 World Cup later this year. With Eion Morgan set to return, I expect his side to put in another great performance with the series on the line.
Jos Buttler
Having played just one white-ball match in this international summer, Buttler returned from a calf injury and top-scored for his side scoring 59 with a strike rate of 151.28. After that brilliant innings, Buttler has now cleared 30+ runs in all but one of his last seven home T20Is, with an average of 61 in that period. With the series on the line, expect Buttler to come out firing with the bat and produce yet another fantastic knock.
England to Hit the Most Sixes
England hit more sixes than their opponents in the two previous matches of the series. Eion Morgan’s men have hit 23 sixes compared to Pakistan’s 18 so far. With players like Buttler, Roy, Bairstow and Livingstone in the side, it is no surprise that England have amassed the most sixes in the series. Expect England to clear the ropes more times than the visitors once again in the final T20I of the series.
